Voice to Vision

Production sociotechnical platform deployed with the NYC Department of City Planning. Led the full development lifecycle — from ethnographic research and participatory design through deployment — building a structured archive of community input that planners use during neighborhood plan development. MIT Prize for Open Data, Honorable Mention.

LumoViz — a relational organizing data platform developed with the Carolina Federation through participatory design, then deployed and iterated in production over three years. Built GCP/PostgreSQL infrastructure and accompanying pedagogy for 20+ data practitioners and grassroots organizers across North Carolina.

Built and evaluated a conversation dynamics visualization tool, developing metrics and a taxonomy for assessing constructive behavior across deliberative conversations.

Led the Metagov Interoperability and Data Mesh working group, coordinating 8 civic technologists across global organizations to develop a data ontology and mesh that lets deliberative platforms interoperate in the field.

Designed and facilitated the sensemaking process for this participatory action research project around the 2021 Boston Mayoral Election. Co-led iterative thematic analysis of 70+ experience-based dialogues with researchers and community fellows Dimitra Dimitrakopoulou, Maridena Rojas, and Somala Diby.
